The Productive Workday
Do you ever look at the clock, see that it’s 5 PM, and wonder if you’ve made the most of your workday?
Personal productivity is a topic I’ve enjoyed thinking about for my entire career (17 years so far!). And it’s my quest to grow and improve all along the way. Everyone I work with knows this is how I roll. I’m always looking for rough edges to sand off so I can make the most of every minute and leave work with a sense of satisfaction and calm.
I don’t always get it right, but I always have a plan. Does this sound good to you?
The Productive Workday is a 75-minute screencast detailing all of my productivity thoughts and workflows. It’s my playbook every time I sit down in front of my trusty M1 MacBook Air.

What People Are Saying
So much of work in academia is self-directed with long time frames. I'm often distracted by small tasks (or new projects) and never get big things done. My friend @andrewmeyers put together a 75 minute video guide with all of his tips and tools for a productive workday. His advice on daily workflows, email, to-do lists, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, and more, may end up being how I finish my dissertation. I know I'm not alone - and even my colleagues who have finished a PhD could benefit from Andrew's strategies.
Buried by your inbox? No idea how to manage your to-dos? Andrew Meyers, a colleague of mine known as "the productivity nerd guy" (his words, not mine), put together a course to share his advice on email, calendar, to-do lists, daily workflows, and more. I learned something new and it was awesome to see tools that I already use, put to even better use.
